Labfront's Grant Program
A core tenet of Labfront is supporting academic research and lowering the barrier of entry. That’s why our grants are intended to help up-and-coming researchers accomplish their study goals by providing them financial support, biomarker data-gathering devices (Garmin wearables), and access to our data collection and participant management platform.
A grant geared specifically toward undergraduate students
During our Summer Research Grants 2022 campaign, we received a considerable number of inquiries about the availability of the grant for undergraduate students. While that encouraged us to open up the grant to this oft-overlooked sector of academia, we were also aware that applying alongside PhD students with more experience could be intimidating. Knowing how underfunded undergraduate student research is and wanting to help empower students of all levels to launch their own studies using real-world data, we ultimately decided to create another grant exclusively for undergraduates.
Labfront’s Fall 2022 Grant is open to undergraduate students of all disciplinary backgrounds interested in collecting physiological data in their research. The awardee will be given tools, software, and funding (a total value of $2000 USD) to help collect digital biomarkers such as heart rate and sleep.
The award includes:
- 5 x Garmin Smartwatch devices (value $750)
- 1 x Labfront Advanced package (value $1000)
- 1 x Honorarium ($250)
